We are a group in a Civic Engagement Class in Kaukauna, WI. In this class we strive to improve our community.

Our project revolves around renovating our existing memorial with new additions. For the past two years this project has been passed through the hands of high school students that share a passion for giving our troops an everlasting thanks.

We have been selling engraved bricks that form a star that will be the focal point of the memorial. Six flags that represent the branches of the military will be on display.

Finally, a larger American Flag will transform our memorial into a local marvel. We are applying for a Pepsi Refresh Grant that will enable us to complete our project. To get the grant, we need to be voted to within the top 10 places this month.

Voting can be done by text message by sending "105317" to PEPSI (73774), or by visiting www.refresheverything.com and searching Kaukauna.

Voting can be done every day. Votes would be appreciated by our group, the veterans in our community, and all around the world as we recognize the sacrifice they have made for our freedom.

Good morning,

My name is Patrick McHugh and I work for the Community Clothes Closet in Menasha Wisconsin. We provide free clothing for people in need and are participating in the Pepsi Refresh Project at the $50,000 level. As we are not competing against one another we were wondering if our two organizations could help each other by asking our respective voters to also vote for the others project.

We are currently at #78 and just need a little extra help to achieve our goal. Our entry will help fund a project room that will be used to educate children in manners and life skills, provide seminar space for adult programs, and supply over 1500 children with school supplies and new clothing each year through our Being Cool for School program.

Please contact me or let me know who I can contact if you are interested in assisting each others efforts. Members of our staff have already begun voting for your project.

Thank you,

Patrick McHugh
