He went on and had a passion for St. Judes Hospital.
It has grown to be a huge hospital that has helped many children.

Danny Thomas has passed on but his daughter Marlo is still very involved in her father's dream. She stated that her father said, "No child should die in the dawn of life."

My name is Louis Stone and I worked with a man who was doing electrical work at St. Judes Hospital. They were remodeling, tearing up the floor, and putting in a new electrical system.

As we walked through the hospital of St. Jude, I saw so many sick children. It hurt my heart so bad to see those children sick like that.

When we were done working that night, I told the man who I was working with how it hurt to see those children with cancer. The man had diabetes. He had to check his blood sugar and take insulin three times a day.

As he took his boot off, he said, "My foot don't hurt near as bad as my heart hurts seeing those children." The sole of his boot had a one and a half inch screw that went into the bottom of the ball of his foot just under his big toe.
